Many geopolitical chess analysts believe that the neoliberal imperialists staged a coup d’état in Ukraine in 2014 just to get Ukraine to wage a NATO proxy war against Russia so that, along with economic sanctions, they would cause a regime change in Russia in order to install there a neoliberal regime like in the 90s.
This is a wrong analysis. Neoliberals already know that the chances of regime change in Russia are close to zero. Russia has energy and food independence and is the greatest military power in the world, with weapons unrivaled by any other country. It has an export surplus economy that is totally resilient to sanctions. If Iran and Venezuela maintained their regimes during sanctions, why would Russia change its regime?
Russia will never have a chaotic corrupt neoliberal regime, infested with nefarious oligarchies and surrender like in the times of Boris Yeltsin. The Russians are already vaccinated against neoliberalism and it is unlikely that they will have a government regime that is not nationalist and that does not defend the territorial integrity of its federation and its economic interests.
The real goal of the 2014 coup in Ukraine was not to achieve a regime change in Russia;
it was to maintain the vassalage regime of Europe.
Europe’s energy and economic integration with Russia and Asia would be Europe’s liberation from imperialist occupation since the end of World War II. Therefore, it was absolutely strategic for the neoliberals to keep Europe under its imperialist domain and guarantee the vassalage regime of that continent, which is strategic for a future great war with Russia, which has always been the great secular obstacle that has prevented the neoliberals from conquering the much-desired global dominance.
Ever since Germany built the first Nord Stream pipeline, the empire has begun to develop a plan to decommission it. When Germany began building Nord Stream 2, the empire was quick to act on its plan to shut down these two pipelines and ensure that Europe was not freed from their rule.
The empire has its goals and its timetable for achieving those goals. And the schedule has been carried out strictly.
Objective 1 – Threaten Russian integrity and the Russophile peoples of Donbass so that Russia invades Ukraine in defense of these peoples. This goal was started shortly after the commissioning of Nord Stream 1 in 2011 with the preparation and execution of the 2014 coup in Ukraine and achieved in 2022 when Russia launched the special military operation.
Objective 2 – Shut down the two Nord Stream gas pipelines in order to cancel and wipe out any possibility of energy and economic integration of Western Europe with Russia, since this would be the liberation of the countries occupied since the World War II, as it would lead to the loss of strategic vassals for the great imperialist project of domination of Russia, China and the rest of the world. This goal was achieved in 2022 when Germany was forced to abandon the two Nord Stream pipelines and still passively accepted the two pipelines being partially destroyed by the empire.
Objective 3 – Create economic sanctions against Russia and begin a massive campaign to demonize that country and its allies, especially China, to prepare Europe’s vassals for the great Western war against Russia and its allies. This goal is ongoing.
Objective 4- Derail and ruin the European industry to transfer its industries to the US and accelerate the impoverishment and nazification of Europe. History repeats itself and once again European Nazis will be used for a war against Russia. This goal is ongoing.
Just cannon fodder
Ukraine no longer serves the empire. The Russians are committed in eliminating the Nazis from Ukraine. The imperialists used their Ukrainian puppets to provoke a conflict with Russia and soon these puppets will be discarded. Ukraine was very useful to the imperialists, who managed to isolate Russia from Europe, secured this strategic continent of vassals and gave a new boost to the production of the weapon industry necessary for the great war they are aiming against Russia and China.
The empire does not care about the fiasco of the Ukraine proxy war defeat, shameful defeats in wars, direct or by proxy, are already part of the geopolitical game of the shameless empire. Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, and now Ukraine are just collections of empire moves in the global geopolitical chessboard. And the most important thing for neoliberals is that these wars make the billionaires of the industrial and military complex much wealthier.
The next step now is the “Ukrainization” of Europe. It will be nazified and armed like Ukraine was, and probably will be destroyed like Ukraine is being. The imperialists will not preserve Europe to achieve their ultimate goal. Remember when US Senator Harry Truman in 1941 said that if the Germans were wining the Russians, the US should help the Russians and if the Russians were wining the Germans, the US should help the Germans so that as many Russians would be killed as many Germans. The imperialists will not spare Europeans in order to achieve their goal of destroying Russia.
Just as Germans failed to realize that the nazification in the 1920s and 1930s would lead to the greatest tragedy in its history, so will Europe in our times. They will not realize that poverty and nazification will lead this group of countries to almost total destruction. It is a slow and unnoticeable process, like the frog in the slowly heated pot with water not realizing it is being boiled to death. Slowly, Europeans are being poisoned with hatred against Russians by the great media propaganda that demonizes Russians as if they were the great enemy of Europe and the main responsible for all the ills that were actually caused by the imperialist neoliberals.
Possible alternatives to the empire game after the Ukraine project
What will be the empire’s next move in the complicated and unpredictable chess game of global geopolitics?
Will they poke Iran? – Unlikely, Iran could destabilize the global oil market and the impact on the global economy would be so overwhelming that the empire would lose even its vassals from Europe.
It will probably be another direct or proxy war, another shameful military defeat, but the objective behind the move will be achieved. They poked the Russian bear and succeeded in demonizing and isolating Russia from its European vassals. It is likely that they will now poke the Chinese tiger to demonize and isolate China from its European and Asian allies. Most of the world will continue to support Russia and China. Only the vassals of the collective west will continue to support the project of the decaying empire.
The conflict in Ukraine showed that the empire and its NATO vassals are not ready for a conflict against Russia and China. They need to invest heavily in weaponry and they need to reorganize their strategic supply chains. The countries of Europe will enter a period similar to what Germany experienced in the 20s and 30s of the last century, when, in the midst of an economic crisis, it adopted an arms race to invade Russia.
The collapse of the empire gains momentum
The three supporting pillars of the empire are losing strength and the great support slab of the empire, the US Dollar, can collapse in a short time, turning the empire into rubble. The pillars of oppression, farce and corruption are no longer able to sustain the great slab that sustains the empire.
The end of the hegemony of the American Dollar will have as a consequence the unfeasibility of the forever wars economy that so enriches the military industrial complex class.
We live in a dangerous moment for humanity, as the collapsing empire could throw the world into an apocalyptic war in a last desperate attempt to maintain its financial hegemony. Economic hegemony it has already lost to China; military hegemony it never had. The little political influence that the empire still has will hardly be able to sustain.
